About Us
Flowers by Cina has been operating since 1960, however, it was acquired by Melissa McGowan in 2003. Melissa started out in the floral industry as a teenager working part-time. While attending college she worked her way up to lead designer. Though other career choices came calling after college, Melissa always dreamed of going back to her roots and owning a flower shop of her own. When an opportunity to buy a floral shop that Melissa had worked for arose, she jumped at the chance. The rest is history and a dream became reality!
With a passion for wedding and event décor Melissa focused on expanding a retail florist into a company with an emphasis on weddings and special events. Every event is uniquely designed and created by Melissa to ensure that a client’s vision is achieved. The staff of Flowers by Cina share in her enthusiasm and go above and beyond to create original designs that are eye-catching.
